And The Dance RAPS Goes To…

… a Twitter friend once again. The lucky winner is @JennSRocks. How very fitting? She’s got the “rock” already in her name.

Congratulations, Jenn, I hope you will have fun with this little box of fluff!

The draw protocol is here:

To make this post worth its while, here is some extra value, provided by the Queen of Odes, Ms Kathy Jones herself. She has delighted us with a few odes in the comments these days again. Enjoy and give her some love in return 😉

Here’s the first, in response to the “Gardening Porter RAPS“:

And a second one from last night, reacting to Porter snake hips (for illustration, also see Dance RAPS above 😉 ):

Finally, if you are now really feel like rocking around the room – either in celebration or in frustration – why don’t you put on this little clip I have put together for you. Disclaimer: No Armitage in there. Instead you will hear my own, home-grown Guitar God aka son, improvising on his Jackson Charvel to Dire Straits’ Sultans of Swing. I think this song is very fitting here – isn’t Mr A our much beloved Sultan of Swing himself??? I really should have named the RAPS thus, and stuck the adage in the tin… In any case, I can’t wait to hear Armitage disclose more of his association with Gibson guitars – or guitars in general, for that matter. Playing a guitarist in a bio pic? Researching the back-story of a character? Or just getting back into music? The bets are on!

    • An all-time favourite of mine which he discovered without my help. He’s been working on it for several days, practicing every night. I sneaked in and recorded him on the phone…

  2. Congratulations to Jenn. Can you tell us the secret to winning a raffle? There are quite a few of us who are frustrated by our bad luck. 🙂

    • Yup, I hate to say it, but I think sprog is actually quite good on the guitar. He has been playing since he has been 9 yrs old, and he has got a fabulous guitar teacher (who is the owner of the guitar and arms in the picture of the clip).

  3. I missed this announcement. Congratulations to Jenn! And yes, I admit to being jealous, but how great that the RAPS should go to someone with “Rocks” in her name!

    • Since the “dance” theme seems so popular, I am already dreaming up the next design. I am thinking black tie and dress shirt… Could make an entirely different sort of shrine…
